Everything Book

Everything

Everything is a set of two books about traditional Chinese culture. The twelve earthly branches form the main content, combined with the seasons, the solar terms and the Chinese zodiac. Each book measures 170 by 300 by 25 millimetres and is made of wood and special paper. The binding follows the folding form of ancient Chinese books, so the pages turn easily and can be opened in part or in full. Production includes laser engraving, laser printing, creasing and hot stamping. The layout uses hand-drawn graphics, texture art and high grey tones.

This book, based on the multidisciplinary Rethinking Metsamor research project, for the first time tells the city’s story and reveals what lessons can be learned from it.
