Pop Star View Platform

Pop Star

Pop Star is an art installation and view platform based on the geometric shape of the icosahedron. The work is built as a steel structure measuring 15000 mm in each direction. The form is derived from the compound eye of an insect, enlarged to a scale beyond normal human visual reading. Visitors can enter the central area and look out over the surrounding fields. From the outside the volume appears solid and imposing, while the inner space feels quiet and enclosed. Pop Star was designed in Beijing in 2019 and completed in Shanghai in 2020.

Flore Chair

Flore

Flore is a furniture collection made of gradient pink glass, formed by a single seat sofa and a side table. The rounded, flowing shapes are inspired by a flower in bloom. The transparent material and the glossy finish with smooth edges give the pieces a light appearance. Each item is shaped by artisans using free hand glass blowing and moulds. The colour gradient is obtained through a layering process that creates a continuous transition of tone. A supporting structure is integrated to provide strength. Night of Celebration Artwork

Night of Celebration

Night of Celebration is a wall-mounted glass sculpture. The work joins antique glass goblets with a freely blown glass form. A mold of an antique goblet was pressed onto the heated body, leaving a concave negative imprint on the surface. Hot glass appears to pour from the goblets, suggesting the continuity of tradition through time. After cooling, the form was cut and polished, then coated with a special solution for a pearl effect and baked again. The finished piece measures 430 by 200 by 500 millimeters.

Oyoga Chair

Oyoga

Oyoga is a modular seat designed for group use in shared rest areas. Unlike fixed chairs, Oyoga uses a rotating joint structure, so the layout can change from a three person seat to a six person seat according to the number of users. Each seat is a yoga ball, which adds softness and allows light exercise while sitting. A ball can also be flipped up to act as a backrest for the seat beside it. Elastic materials provide comfort, and metal connectors keep the parts stable and simple to replace. Pomegranate seeds inspired the form as a symbol of unity.
