Tranquil Hotel

Tranquil

The Lakeshore Hualien Tranquil is a hotel located in Hualien City, Taiwan. The design draws on the local mountains and the Pacific Ocean, and on the painting The Beauty of Taroko by Ma Paisui. A wooden grille and light transparent glass bring in daylight and outdoor views. Upper floors are set back to create terraces, improve ventilation and reduce shading of neighboring buildings.
