Hill Wind Hotel and Resort

Hill Wind

Hill Wind is a resort hotel located in Anji County, Huzhou. The external form follows modern architectural thinking, with geometric cloud shapes drawn from the origami concept and extended into irregular volumes. A white membrane material is joined to these forms through structural changes. Inside, a narrow entrance passage creates a deep sense of space, and a continuously flowing ceiling is shaped and stitched by craftsmen. Mirror Bridge Studio

Mirror Bridge

Studio with Mirror Bridge is an office interior created for a design studio in a ground-floor flat in a 1990s residential neighborhood. The original layout was linear and dark, with one small patio. A twisted vortex of mirror polished stainless steel connects the north and south sides and improves lighting, ventilation and scale. The reflective surface spreads daylight through the interior. The vortex narrows in the lounge area and ends as a curved bar. The form also blocks direct views from the entrance to the work area.

Poise Adjustable Table Lamp

Poise

The acrobatic appearance of Poise, a table lamp designed by Robert Dabi of unform.studio shifts between static & dynamic and a big or small posture. Depending on the proportion between its' illuminated ring and the arm holding it, an intersecting or tangent line to the circle occurs. When placed on a higher shelf, the ring could overhang the shelf; or by tilting the ring, it could touch a surrounding wall. The intention of this adjustability is to get the owner creatively involved and play with the light source in proportion to other objects surrounding it.
