Mystical Serpent

On the facade of a century old building in Shanghai China, Mystical Serpent was created a lighting art installation, blending serpent legends from ancient China and Rome. The winding 3D inflatable snake body is made of lightweight recyclable materials. It passes through the walls and windows that present a pseudo 3D effect by covering printed murals and pasting glass stickers. This installation connects the horizontal and vertical spaces, creating a three dimensional sense as a whole. It also brings a new visual experience to this century old building.

Fuma

This house for a family of four stands along a railway line in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. To adapt to the site's exposure to train noise, vibrations, and flood risk, reinforced concrete was used. The second floor cantilevers 5.6m toward the street and 3.2m toward the parking area, allowing for single-story-style living on the second level within a three-story structure. Plants are placed throughout the architecture, such as in gardens and terraces, creating spaces where greenery and the built form intertwine, blending the home seamlessly with nature.

Hermes

Hermes features a modern design, with side windows and soft flowing lines. The side windows create a close connection with the surrounding environment, reflecting the water and natural light during the day, while at night they light up with perimeter led that enhance the silhouette. The slender shapes promote efficiency, while the soft lighting creates a warm, comfortable atmosphere, ensuring privacy and refinement. In the lower bow area there are two cabins equipped with beds for overnight stays. The upper part of the glass roof can be opened via an electrical system.

3D Cakes

Creating 3D cakes is a challenge that Andre Caputo fully embraces. He draws inspiration from photographs and real products, meticulously refining his work through numerous iterations to achieve the natural results essential for effective packaging. Using Blender for sculpting and combining Cinema 4D with Redshift for rendering, he skillfully crafts textures from scratch with procedural techniques. Final adjustments in Photoshop allow him to fine tune colors and details, all without relying on photos or AI, showcasing his unwavering commitment to authenticity and artistry in every creation.
