LIFEWTR Series 3:Emerging Fashion Design

The fashion designers of LIFEWTR Series 3: Emerging Fashion Design, Adam Dalton Blake, Tiffany Huang, and Ghazaleh Khalifeh, are all focused on the area of textile and print designs. LIFEWTR partnered with the CFDA to help these emerging designers make their marks. Blake is a contemporary menswear designer who embraces the colorfully absurd and wildly imaginative. Huang is an artisanal womenswear designer who connects to her deep interest in color when approaching design. Khalifeh is a textile designer whose style focuses on reviving artisanal traditions and cross-collaborations.

Less than 30% of artwork showcased in museums and large galleries are by women. LIFEWTR Series 2 seeks to advance and showcase women who are sources of inspiration through their creative expressions and ethos. This series features the work of Adrienne Gaither, Lynnie Zulu and Trudy Benson. These women are a diverse group of innovative thinkers: contributing unique forms of art, fresh ways to create art, unique outlooks and have the potential to influence culture in an impactful and positive way.

Tofana

In the demolition and reconstruction of the Hotel Tofana in San Cassiano in Badia Valley (Italy), the surrounding mountain range served as inspiration for the new architecture and interior design. The concept of the new -Explorer's Home- transfers the athletic spirit of the owner family to the entire building... From building to landscape: the design celebrates the evolutionary transformation of an originally compact building - into a layered structural landscape that sustainably reflects its surroundings... the house brings nature into the house.

Delacon Dandelion

Dandelions are very delicate creations of nature managing to be wonderfully simple and highly complex at the same time. That's why a specially crafted, stylized and oversized model of a dandelion is the one and only design element at the heart of the Delacon exhibition stand. Invisible to the visitor is the very complex airflow sensor array, which is arranged inside the flowers head ready and waiting to amaze its visitors: By blowing on the flower the magical journey of its onscreen counterpart's seeds begins to unfold and allows you to be cast away with their elegant dance.

Conceived from the perception of the new ways of using space and the new habits of the contemporary everyday life, this sofa stands out due to the many functions it can perform with the addition of accessories to its backrest, making it possible to study, work, place and store objects, and recharge electronic devices in the same space. Spot comes in many shapes, suiting several layouts and supplying in one place the needs of a room. It also stimulates the often forgotten human relations, creating a welcoming and functional environment that is capable of conceiving memories.

Meditation

This is a seat with a curved surface shape, people can easily achieve cross legged sitting by it. This seat ware can effectively distribute the force of the buttocks of the human body evenly to the outside of the knee and the thigh. Even if keeping long time this posture, we will not feel tired. The back can feel the support of the caudal vertebrae, increasing the support of the waist. This design is not only a reflection of culture, but also a study of ergonomics.
