Sung-Hyeon Yoo : realizable solution for world-wide problem. .Frank Scott: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?. Sung-Hyeon Yoo : how to make the disabled's social interaction improved? .Frank Scott: What are your future plans for this award winning design?. Sung-Hyeon Yoo : I will accept proposes of companies to realize this. .Frank Scott: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?. Sung-Hyeon Yoo : 1 month .Frank Scott: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?. Sung-Hyeon Yoo : thinking of the disabled's life, I got this idea. It is very good so I advanced the idea. .Frank Scott: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?. Sung-Hyeon Yoo : I will sell this design in cheap price because I want cheap final retail price. sure. I will do anything I can for this design project. I will gladly participate in company project group .Frank Scott: What made you design this particular type of work?. Sung-Hyeon Yoo : I always worries public problems. .Frank Scott: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?. Sung-Hyeon Yoo : no. .Frank Scott: Who is the target customer for his design?. Sung-Hyeon Yoo : all people who permanently or temporary injured their legs. because I consisted non-electricity, final retail price will be much cheaper. .Frank Scott: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?. Sung-Hyeon Yoo : realizable, simple mechanism, and does not require external power source. also very beautiful because it is ergonomic. .Frank Scott: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?. Sung-Hyeon Yoo : Lazarus was disciple of Jesus who resurrected. I wish to make life of the disabled newborn as ordinary people. so I named Lazarus which meant 'begin of new life again'. .Frank Scott: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?. Sung-Hyeon Yoo : keyshot for render, photoshop for edit rendered image and zbrush, 3ds max and mudbox for sculpting. .Frank Scott: What is the most unique aspect of your design?. Sung-Hyeon Yoo : 100% manpower machine. .Frank Scott: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?. Sung-Hyeon Yoo : I did myself. .Frank Scott: What is the role of technology in this particular design?. Sung-Hyeon Yoo : tech did not needed much. .Frank Scott: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?. Sung-Hyeon Yoo : I researched human muscle movement while walking, and specific weight of body parts. .Frank Scott: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?. Sung-Hyeon Yoo : making realizable mechanism. .Frank Scott: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?. Sung-Hyeon Yoo : I got E-mail. .Frank Scott: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?. Sung-Hyeon Yoo : making human imitating design, I learned that when I just imitate shell of living natural body, It becomes beautiful. .Frank Scott: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions?.
